Hi all,
Still very much a newbie so pardon the funky question: Is there an approriate way to clean decal setting solution from a paint brush? I read somewhere that this brush should be dedicated solely for decal work. Do I infer from this that once you douse a brush with micro sol, there’s no way to thoroughly clean the brush or the brush hairs might be degraded? Anyone know what chemicals are in micro sol? I’m a chemist so I might be served well to know what the heck are in these solutions.
Thanks,
Victor
I just use water, seems to work out fine. I don’t know what’s in them, but Micro-set smells like vinnegar.
Water will clean the brush, but it’s still best to have a brush dedicated to the decal task & use your better brushes for detail painting.

I use a dedicated brush, and never clean it. The Micro Sol hardens slightly, and releases either when you resubmerge it, or mash (lightly) on a hard surface. I’ve been using the same brush for Micro Sol for 20+ years, and it hasn’t failed me yet!
Archer out.
Actually, micro-sol has the exact smell of silicone caulking. I’m a painter and use silicone all the time. However, water does seem to get the brush clean.
