Circles on my deck

Hi all,

I’m currently working on the Banner 1/350 scale USS Arizona. I’ve noticed throughout the lower level deck, there are raised panel circles etched into the deck. At first, I thought they were ejection pin marks, but they have a raised panel look to them. They are also symmetically placed around the deck, perfectly centered on the individual planks, and only on the lower deck. There are probably a few dozen of them.

Does anyone know what these are and are they supposed to be on the model?

Thanks,
Jesse

im not the smartest person but I think they are post holes for traps and covers.Ive seen alot of pictures where pre ww2 ships have covers over them I guess for shade

thats my best guess[?]

MIKEMC,

I think I know what you mean. I would like comments from anyone else about this.

Thanks all,
Jesse

Without looking at the kit (I’m on vacation at present), I would agree that they’re mounting plates for the ship’s awnings.

I’m home on Sunday, I’ll look at my kit and confirm.
