I got scratches on the chrome mirror finish part while removing from the spur. Any paint or product out there for the touch up? I tried different Tamiya metallic paints and none of them closed to the chrome mirror.
Best bet is Chrome Alclad II it would take preperation of the surface and precoating with gloss black so you would end up re doing the whole part. Which is good as it would then be uniform.
There also have been some good early reports of Akans Aluminium Bright.
If it’s small enough, you can foil that part and polish it to blend it in. Testors silver in the square bottle is almost as close.
You might try touch-up with Humbrol number 11 enamel as well. That should be quite close to chrome.

I generally use Bare Metal Foil for small mirrors. The stuff is difficult to apply for large areas, but for small areas like most mirrors it is fine, and the Chrome version gives excellent results.
Great tips everybody. Will try all to find the best fit of my skill.
