what r some good kits of chinese armor? i like to see the little squinty eyes peeking out a a turret. [:0]
Believe it or not, Trumpter makes a fairly comprehensive line of PLA Chinese tanks. Some come motorized, others static, but all-in-all, they are quite decent kits. They do wheeled as well as tracked personnel carriers too.
One kit they do, a Chinese Jeep with recoilless rifle called the BJ212A, is a very nice kit. Easily in the early Tamiya quality range.
Trumpeter has 3 nice kits out of PLA armor. They are of their MLRS system, a 120 mm self-propelled anti tank gun and a 152mm self-propelled howitzer. I’ve got the howitzer and anti tank gun and bot have very good detail and good interiors. I recently finished the anti tank gun and enjoyed building it. However, do look for some photos of the real thing as I think Trumpeters painting instructions are slightly wrong.
