Terry.
That is cool. I can’t find a price. What is affordable?
Very cool. Looks like one would need many, many Mig powders to complete such a product. [;)]
I don’t know about others but I find nearly all this guys stuff reasonably priced.
Just an example; I purchased some oil paint from an artists supply store in the City centre and it was €7.65 for a medium tube of windsor and newton. Mig’s stuff retails around Dublin for €5. Pigments €3.50. The resin kits are usually reasonable too.
looking at this wreck, engine etc. I would probably be prepared to go €65-€70 max, after that I would go about making my own. With the quality and choice that is available now, it’s my opinion that the resin boys no longer have the upper hand, but thats only “my two cents”
Terry.
Cool concept, but I think it’s overdone. A blown up tank isn’t going to be eviscerated like that, and the heaviest thing on the tank, the turret, should be nearby.
The turret hanging off or near by would put this over the top for me.
Right-side idler is too clean. [:o)]
Pretty cool, but how would you build it?
heya terry my bro-- yeah it is cool, but not as cool as the rusted out Polish tractor you built!!-- tread[:D][8D]
Real easy to build…just build as you would a normal kit and the loose your temper with it and throw it across the room…I’v done it plenty of times[:D]
I agree with ya Terry…Migs stuff is great and always good value for money.
And I guess that is why your nick name is comet ? [(-D]

Very cool, but it kinda looks like you could do the same thing with an old kit and a good chunk of aftermarket interior parts.
It does look to me, from the pic provided on the “making of” page, that the tank was indeed eviscerated like that. Plus, we’ve seen enough T55s etc in Iraq that blew apart in similar fashion. Remember it ain’t the tank what pops, it’s the ammo (and fuel) therein, and that’s a lotta boom - enough to split a tank’s armor plating right up the middle. When that happens, stuff goes everywhere - especially the lighter, non-bolted-on stuff.
I would agree, though, that the turret shouldn’t be completely missing. Perhaps lying separate, upside-down or on its side, and relatively intact, but it should be there.
