What is the brand name of the airbrush? Paasche, Iwata, Badger etc. Without seeing the auction and viewing the seller’s feedback, my advice would be: buyer beware…if it’s too cheap, it might be junk. Be careful.
i can send you the link if you wish… i just dont want to podt the link here…

It’s a central pneumatic… it’s a popular brand name that is carried by wholesale tool stores like Harbor Freight etc,… it’s a cheaper name brand
but the question remains, should i just buy a more expensive one??? or try my hand at airbrushing with a cheaper one first??
It is best to buy a good airbrush and learn to use it and get used to how it works. There are some very good brushes that don’t cost too much. I started off with a Badger and now have three of them, as well as two Paasche brushes. Get something that wont bust your budget, but get something that will be easy to use, clean and hold up.
I agree with Berny. Get something decent that works well and produces good results. Struggling with a crap airbrush might just turn you off airbrushing altogether!
I bought a clone of a Badger 350 at a surplus/discount store here in Canada. It looks identical to the Badger, but after close inspection the metal components (ie. needle, cone, etc) are made out of very soft metal. They damage very easily.
It works fine for general spraying (I use it for primer and other similar uses), but I switch to my trusty Paasche VL for any finish painting (can’t say that I have the skills to make it do a better job, but it makes me feel like a pro…)
I would recommend getting a better quality airbrush if you plan on using it for several years. The knock-off I have is good as a back-up or for the type of work I’m doing, but isn’t built to the same quality standards as the name brand items.

Hey all. I have a double action airbrush from Harbor Freight and it looks to be a factory second. (biggest ‘problem’ seems to be the pressure relief holes in the tip are off-center) It works great. Seems to be a Badger copy, but hey… for $15.00 I aint bitchin. It sprays as well as as my Thayer & Chandlers or my Paasche VL. If you reasearch it, airbrushes haven’t changed much since they first came out in the late 1800’s. Does it work for what you need? If it does, name brands dont matter.
my azttec a 220 sux0rz. it takes bout half an hour to adjust the bottle, and then it stops spraying even tho i have a compresser. i gotta get something like a badger…
cheap airbrushes like those from harbor freight are good to start, but they may cause more frustration that with a moderately priced brush like the iwata neo. It may hinder a new modeler.
