I have acquired a Hobby Boss CH-46D. My first effort with Hobby Boss.
I am going to model the aircraft with doors etc closed but I would like to make sure that the interior (which is somewhat sparse) is at least the right colour.
Does anyone have any information on the colour(s) of the CH-46D interior?
The cockpit is flat (satin) black for NVG compatibility. The rear cabin is various shades of medium grey. Rear troop seats are usually red nylon. Hope that helps.
i will use red simply for visual contrast on mine. On something nice and open like my blackhawk, greyis OK, I just dont want it to turn into a mass of grey in there that won’t get noticed.
Almost every one I have been in,(that is alot!!!) had red seats, and light grey interiors. They were also heavily stained with red hydraulic fluid, as they were used quite heavily. We almost went down over yuma during training because of a darn hydro leak. Low level, and scarred as all get out!!! All of us got sprayyed that day. Got afew burns too.
I’m a Phrog guy, I’ve work with Phrogs for 12 years. If you are doing a Navy D at the end of service. You will need to do a gloss gray, old paint was flat dark gull gray.
