does anyone know if they have ever or will ever create a ch-37 deuce model in any scale? such a unique helo and a must for my USMC collection.
Think there was one in 1/72nd but can’t remember any details, would be nice to get a kit, but I would prefer 1/48th
Airmodel did a 1/72 vacform but it would probably be easier to make it look like a CH-34. One of the East European companies has been promising an injected 1/72 kit but it has been working on it for several years and it hasn’t happened yet. Can’t remember the name but I did send them some info.
i understand hobby boss is coming out with a 1/72 scale. i hope sometime in the future a 1/48 scale will be offered…Academy are yu listening?
Thanks for the tip on Hobhby Boss, I’ll keep checking on them. I have a web site with a section on the CH-37, if you are interested:

Special Hobby will, according to them, finally be releasing their long promised 1/72nd CH-37 kit this year. Pictures seem to prove that this project is now at an advanced stage.

Nice.
Where are those surviving examples located?
Do you have any pics??
Rich
This one is located at Pima Air and Space in Tuscan, AZ
let me make a correction, it is not hobby boss ,but special hobby that will be coming out with this kit. sorry for the confusion.
I’ve been looking for one of these for so long it’s not even funny. Even finding pictures of them is difficult. All the pictures in books I ever found are small so I can’t even make out some stuff. I saw that vacuformed kit advertised but with a dead link. so no dice there. I’ve even thought of trying to make my own, but yeah right. I saw that scratchbuilt one from the guy in Netherlands, that model looks sweeeeeeet! I wish I could get a hold of him and see if he would at least sell the info on how he did it. That thing has the front cargo doors open, interior decked out, even the baleds are sagged and tied down. He went far and beyond on it.
Well, if anyone has help for this dilema, let me know.
Isn’t it beautifully ugly.
Semper Fi,
Chris
CH-37 Lovers,
As many of you know, my thing is Hueys. However, during the course of conducting Huey research at the Army Aviation Museum I copied several disks of photos that had lots of other helo pics on them. These are pics scanned from the Museum’s archive and are identified with a number, but no other info accompanied the scans. I don’t know ANYTHING about CH-37’s, but since pics seem to be hard to come by, I thought I would post the ones I have. To my knowledge, most if not all of these pics have never appeared on the web. I will number them so that those more knowledgeable than I can comment on particular pics. Enjoy! Ray

And last but not least 17
I just snapped this one a week ago from the flight line trolley at NAS Pensacola. No rotors yet, but the last time I saw it in October it had poor paint on it and was out on the hanger ramp, now it is in helicopter row at the start of the tour next to the Presidential VIP SH3 .
BTW I saw one years ago at a contest. Not an actual kit, mind you, it was kitbashed from other parts and used a LOT of putty!

Can I get some help here? how can I post a picture on here? I found that picture of the scratchbuilt CH-37 I spoke about earlier. it looks really good. I know there are more pictures of out there but this is the only one I found.
Kris,
Put your pics on Photobuket and then copy and paste the HTML tag link into the images command line (press the little tree icon).
Here it is. I don’t really have much info on it, but theres gotta be more pictures of this one out there. I know it was a prize winner though.
Visiting a very old thread I know. Any chance leadfooterm535i is still around here? I would very much love to see more pictures of this Mojave/Deuce build. Specially some WIP pics.
Unfortunately under the current forum set up, you cant see when a members last post was made. But that guy shows less than 170 posts total. considering that it’s been 12 years odds are he is no longer active here.
