Cessna 310 decals

Is there a decal sheet to mark a Cessna 310 as the “Songbird” from the old 50s TV show Sky King? For that matter, are there any 310 models to be had?

The only thing I could find was this pre-built wooden one:

Not sure about the decals, but Aurora made one. A bit pricey on daBay.

Hi subfixer,

Yes, there is an ancient Aurora straight tail 310 in 1/72 scale, which can sometimes be found on ebay, but competition for them is always high so be prepared to pay the price as the Dr. said.

I found a sheet schematic on the rcuniverse site; it could be scaled down and you could print your own. Couldn’t find any reference to a printed sheet in 1/72 scale.

Take care,

Frank

Thanks, guys!

N5348A did not have red registration numbers; the CAA/FAA regs of that period required them to be black. There was no red trim anywhere on the airplane, either. Colors were Coronado Yellow, Sierra Gold, and White, like those of the second display model shown.

N5348A was the second 310B built and was provided to the producers of the show at no cost.

An Aurora 310B just went for over $70 on ebay. The kit originally was produced by Comet, and I remember buying them for 29¢ at a T.G. & Y. on Camp Bowie Boulevard in Fort Worth, Texas, circa 1956.

The kit is not 1/72 scale but is closer to 1/65 scale. It’s still an excellent little model, however, in spite of its lack of landing gear.
