James Kirk has been selected to be Captain of the first of the US Navy’s new Zumwalt Class destroyers, USS Zumwalt.
The destroyer is ugly as heck. So who’s his Mr. Sulu , Bones, Scotty, etc…?
If Capt. Kirk had commanded the carrier USS Enterprise, that would have definitely achieved a “chunk Norris” level of PURE AWESOMENESS!!!

But, if Captain Kirk can hang in there and get his Aviator’s Wings, maybe he can get command of the third Gerald Ford class CVN which is to be named Enterprise. That’ll be in about 12 years or so.
Those are some interesting looking ships. Between these new Zumwalts and the Littoral Combat Ships, the surface Navy is taking on a new look. Fascinating.
Amazing the crap we spend billions on. I predict this’ll be a class of what, 2 or 3 ships?

As my old Naval bones creak and groan .I would NOT like to be on her in a heavy sea of any type .She would go under the waves , not over .Looks like we’ve gone back in time , doesn’t it ?
