Howdy all,
I am sure most of you have heard already that Cmdr. Dave Koss is voluntarily stepping down as the Boss of the Blues since being with the team as of November of last year.
The request comes after the Blue Angels canceled their flyover at the Naval Academy’s graduation.
This was the result of a maneuver preformed by the Blue Angels that had an unacceptably low minimum altitude which was at 133ft above sea level while performing at Lynchburg Regional Airshow in Lynchburg, Va on May 22.
Along with other instances under the command of Koss, this has prompted their schedule to be postponed till about the second week of June…
So now last years Boss will be taking over… I am not sure if its for the duration of the show season or Koss’s time…
At any rate, I wish Koss the best in all that he does with his career and that this incident does not make him rethink his time with the Navy!
How do you guys feel about what happened and how he handled himself?
Flaps up,
Mike
