A very unusual aircraft. But a history maker. Not a real jet aircraft because it was powered by ducted fan in the circular fuselage and a primitive afterburner. Since its so easy I desided to make one for my Italian Aircraft collection. Only two of these planes were built.
Another very interesting model. Your progress looks great, I never knew the Italians were that early in building prototype propeller-less aircraft, this is very fascinating. BTW how is French seaplane coming along? I’m interested in seeing how turns out.
Looks like it’s coming along pretty good. I really admire you for building yours out of wood! I just don’t have the hands or patience for that. Keep up the good work and keep us posted!![tup]
Hi guys…I take vacations next week and before next saturday I should have this Caproni on the shelf so I’ll take some pics on the way and on his birthday [:D]
The French Liore is comming along, presently ribbing the wings, then I have to cover them, so they have the “cloth” look etc etc…this guy will easily hit the end of the month …Unfinished[:I]
Thanks for your kind words…Scratchbuilding is like having your first shot of Tequila, once you try it you love it!!![wow]
Thank you very much. I go to Italy every 2 years and believe it or not I have never been at Museo Vigna di Valle, it is only about 30 miles from the city. I am going back this July and this time I am defenitly going there. I will take several Digi-cards for my camera because I know I will fill them up. I have most of the plans of the planes there so when I come back I will have enougf material for 2 more years of work…[:)]
I have a friend who goes there every month and when I need a pic, it comes in within the month!![:D]
Thank you again and the pictures will be very useful when I start detailing and in the painting stage.
Worked a little last night and squirted the first two coats of varnish…I should be finishing the Campini within the week (am off all week[:P])
I still have to take some measures and probably cut here and there since I have a very simple plan and many pics, I now will work out of the pictures. The details is “where the meat is”…[:I]
