Hey Kik36, what are those punch set for?

I ordered one direct from waldron 2 weeks ago and got it yesterday.

Hey Sigman,
I was wondering the same thing.
I checked out the web site and from the
pictures. It’s a device that you can change
out different guage circumference to punch out
holes in ( I assume ) plastic and I’m sure other
materials. I use to run a leather factory.
And we had punch sets with variety of sizes to
punch holes in leather. That’s what I can make
of it. Cheers mate!!! [:)][:D][8D]

Sigman, Riffraff, pretty much nailed it on the head. What is possible, is perfect circles everytime in stock styrene, or perfect discs cut out. Some people use them to make their own instrument panels, and sometimes their own hatches, rivets and bolt heads. All of which I hope to do in the near future, as it is a tremendous Scratchbuilding tool. And the holes are crisp and clean compared to a pin vise.

Thanks everyone for your help!!! I’m going to drop him an email this weekend, and call on monday if necessary. Thanks again for the info!!!

Or, sharpen brass tube to size, and drill hole in sheet brass. your own punch.

One good thing is for punching out the decals for instrument panels.

Also if you need a perfectly round masking piece.
I use large sticker labels. They are 5" by 3" from
wal-mart for $1.77 for 20 sheets. Punch the correct
circumference, peel off backing and then mask.
I also have a friskarspaper cutter to cut smooth
lines for masking. Hope this helps some.
Good luck! [8]

Thanks for the tip Kelley, I will keep that in mind when I need larger circumfrences. I did get a hold of Mr. Waldron, and he is sending me their order sheet, so I can find out what other types of products they offer. And thankfully I can order from him directly!! Thank you everyone for your quick responses, I was at wits end with Great Models!!![:P][;)]
