can't find an F-16 with specific theme

i had a kit in the mid 80’s (Monogram?) it was an F-16 with i believe the roll out paint sceme,red wings white and blue fuselage and said General Dynamics F-16 on the tail,anyone have any pics and the whereabouts that i might find a version of this in 1-48?

sorry i can’t help but that reminds me of a f-16xl i had as a child and would love to see that one again

The kit you are talking about was the YF-16. It was pretty good in its day. They later released it as a F-16A but it wasn’t accurate for the A model. I built that kit several times and I can still remember it being sold in the late 90’s. I am sure the company does not release it any more now that there are several kit makers that have better F-16 models.

Apparently there were a number of kits that had the YF scheme. Not sure all of them were accurate though. Here’s some pages that list all the 16 kits.

I’ve not been able to find decals for the YF demo… Unfortunately test scheme decals don’t ever seem to be in much demand.

i saw the Monogram 1/48 on EBAY,unfortunately i have never and probably will never deal with EBAY,i’ve heard too many stories and i just don’t want to chance anything with them…so,with that being said,how about everyone check thier stash and see if we have it between the people i do trust

has anyone built the Tamaya version?..i only built the Monogram version
