I have used Micro Mask and it works ok. Starts out as a blue thick glue like liquid, dries clear. Have not tried any other brands.
I use Liquid Masking Film made by Bob Dively Model Aircraft Inc. It is white almost like elmers glue and dries clear. It works really well and comes off easily

Do you know where has it in stock ? Ebay charges big money for shipping this little 16oz stuff.
Vallejo do a liquid masking film which is ok to use with spraying acrylics, if that’s easier to find.
I’ve also use ordinary waterproof Elmers’/PVA instead.

cnq, Towerhobbies.com is where I got it. I made the mistake of buying the 32 oz and it goes a loooooong way. I would have been fine with the small bottle. If it sits to long it does get a film on top, but it peels off and is fine underneath. I just have more than I will probably use for the rest of my life LOL:)
I’ve read that you can mix dish detergent and white glue to make your own. Not sure of the exact recipe tho.
I avoid using liquid mask now. Have had severe problems removing several different kinds.

As stated, i’d ditch any liquid masking and stick with tape.
If you do want a liquid mask, I’ve found the best one is the Humbrol Maskol (purple colour).
The blue Mr Mask is terrible and can react with future type products to cause fogging.
