Canopy / future question

I have a model that I have coated with future. Decals are applied and I am getting ready to do the flat coat.

As I have seen so many others say, this is my first model since I discovered girls 15 years ago. Just getting back into it.

My question is: What will the flat coat do to the future on the canopy? Should the canopy be remasked to keep the flat off if the canopy? What will a flat coated canopy look like? The canopy is a pain in the butt since it is closed and it’s the 5 peice pro-modeler P-38.

Any advice guys? Thanks!

Yes, absolutely you will need to mask your canopy before applying a flat coat, otherwise your canopy will look like “frosted” glass, somewhat akin to a shower screen.

Yes what he said. It will look really bad if you dont.

Thanks for the fast response guys…I’m glad I asked!

LOL - another crisis averted by the FSM forums.

I had to learn this one the hard way!

There are several articles here on Future and working with canopies.
