Why don’t you try on Silver. (Gunze Acrylic No. 8) or other Silver. My openion, the Mr. Surface even 1000 is darker (I don’t know) because when I prime with Mr. Surface I must air-brushing around 3 - 4 rounds before they must show the color we paint and it must more if you cover with light color. But for the Silver just few round that okay and you can make the chip or make you model look old by scratch the cover paint off.
gunze primer is the exact same formula as tamiya primer. they come from the same factory. many gunze products are the same as tamiya products. just compare tamiya spray cans and gunze cans, and you will see that they are the same.
They may appear the same, but I doubt Tamiya would run the same formula as Gunze, I think it would be a quality issue with Tamiya.
im fairly certain that they are the same, the owner of the LHS said that the gunze dealer told him this.
Well, IF this is the case, then we are getting a bargain deal for Tamiya quality stuff, at Gunze prices.
