Thought you all might be interested in one of these. Wouldn’t it be fun to build? I can just imagine the headaches, and the constant worries about the “tweaserpult” at any time…
That is just amazing. I do believe though in the same time frame it would take to build, you could probally build 3 of 1:1 ones. I have enough trouble getting simple little things that move on models to work right sometimes, can’t imagine having working brakes.
I have an earlier Pocher Rolls (unmade). Mine is a simplified version in that it has plastic seats. For interest I found this instruction sheet for it on the web.
Looks very interesting…way above my skill level! Sure I think it would be neat to happen across one but for $850…Ummmmm Ummmmm Id rather have a few other things on my Christmas list LOL.
I’ve seen these kits before - they take a lot of work to look like a REAL car (only smaller) but they’re pretty serious models. Probably worth the money. The operating features DO operate (with a little care). They’re very impressive.
NOTE!!! There’s a bunch of dedicated moldeler/engineers who make improved bits for these amazing Posher kits. Have a look at the following: http://www.modelmotorcars.com
The make freaking amazing stuff for these models - they make stuff that can turn a great model into a magnificent one. Have a look - you’ll be impressed. I simply can’t tell you how great their stuff is…
If you see a NEW Poscher kit (like the Ferrari F-40 or the Testarossa), turn and run as fast as you can. The new kits are simply garbage - with a $600 price tag, too.
I’ve built both (for someone else) and would have rather spent my time making interesting designs in a pile of Great Dane poo with a pointed stick…the model wat that bad. Took an unbelievable amount of work to make it look presentable.
Cheers

On the subject of the later Pocher models I have the 1:8 Volvo F12 truck which is actually a pretty reasonable model (not built it as it is a somewhat daunting project). This is like a scaled up 1:25 truck. Needless to say the doors open though and there is a somewhat better level of detail. This is only a two axle unit but it would make into a large model. If anyone is interested I could get a scan of the instruction manual, having just got a new scanner.
