camo netting

I know that eduards has a photo etch net but that is $$$ what do all ya’all use?

I have been thinking about using stuff from the first aid kit…

Gauze bandages work very well indeed. I use a bandage with a very fine mesh (1:72) as required.

I cut to shape and carefully place the cut piece into a mix of water, acrylic colour and white glue. the drape or roll as needed. The glue will lock the threads together and set the netting to any needed shape.

Then it is easy to cut thin strips of Tamiya tape and add to the netting once dry.

cheers

Mike

I do the same thing as Mike does, but I also use poultry stuffing bags, bought at the local grocery store. It’s prettly much cheesecloth, and for 2 bucks you get alot of netting! I still have alot left over from a package I purchased over 2 years ago.

sounds good, I have lots of 4x4s in the first aid kit so I will try that first, I will do a small dio with a british 25 pounder for practice then I have a fantasy of doing a German 88 in a pit like they were in the band of brothers.
