Calling all Airbrushers!

Wonder if one could duplicate THIS scheme?

http://www.sharpshooter-maj.com/Images/bv15/mirage2000.jpg

That’s what decals are for. [:D]

It COULD be done but, not by me!!!
Ray

Piece of cake, if your name is Shep Paine. Or maybe MikeV could handle it.

Yeah, maybe I should have labelled this “Calling MikeV”!! Pretty sweet, though, and the site has a TON of nice shots… mostly of one side of the aircraft, but nice nevertheless…

That reminds me. Does anyone remember that photo of the Mirage 2000 (or was it III or V?) Belgian, I believe, black, with the giant sunflower or daisy painted on its underside? I’ve always wanted to do that scheme (with a decal of course). I don’t know where to find that picture again, or what the airplane looks like on the top.

That scheme is awsome !! Two Bobs or Daco, where are you?

I rather like this one…

Either of these would be a challenge, and probably alotta fun and frustration all in one…

Fade to Black…

hmmm depends on the scale of the model.

Blackwolf, That’s one awesome bird. Thanks for posting.

HEY!!!

No prob…

Fade to Black…

Here’s another one…

Tiger meet birds have some of the most amazing paint jobs anywhere. I always enjoy seeing the builds of Tiger aircraft, but I’m not sure I could carry it off well. As was mentioned before, that’s what decals are for!

What scale are we talking about? [:D] [;)]

Mike

Hey guys, don’t put me on the spot for such a tough paint job. [:0]
If it was 1/32 I could probably do it, but 1/72? Forget it! [(-D]

Steve-O,

I would like to see someone like the artist “Jurek” do one of those cats on a plane.
He does the fur and all. Check him out here:
http://www.jurek-art.com/

He is kind of weird but he paints great animals. [;)]

Mike

Wow what is up with the paint schemes those are crazy!!!

Mike, thanks for the link to Jurek’s site. He was one of my heroes when I still did work on paper and still is, even though I’ve given it up. And his work was one of only two reasons I picked up Airbrush Action over the years. The other was Olivia… [dinner]

Fade to Black…

I like both schemes, but the one steve posted really caught my eyes.

Steve,

I didn’t know you did airbrush art in the past. Interesting. [tup]
Did you do illustration board airbrushing?

Olivia is quite talented although Vargas and Gil Elvgren are still my favorites. [;)]
