Yesterday was our local model contest here in Calgary. This year it was actually held in a little town south of here called Nanton at the Nanton Lancaster Museum.
My P38 that I posted last week won silver in its class and the special award of Best Natural Metal Finish. My 1/32 F4 Phantom won Best Modern Jet Fighter. (modern?!?)
There was a ton of cool models there and a bunch of jaw droppers. I met some awesome modelers from around the province and a few from out of province that travelled a long way. The Lancaster they have there has 2 running engines and they were starting her up. Man those Merlins are loud but once they get a little RPM to them they sound awesome!!
My daughter came with me and together it was a great day. Anybody else on here make it there??
