On the ladies, yecchh. On the birds, interesting to read all the posts, but it doesn’t get me too excited. None of those a/c have particularily accurate cockpits either, on account of the necessities of modern life. I’m just glad there are organizations out there taking the time and making the money to keep these planes around.
Just my[2c]
[#ditto] If it keeps 'em flying, I’m all for it.
And I’ll tell you what I don’t like…
…this girl’s pants. She should definitely take them off! [}:)]
On girls, well… there’s a reason its called a “tramp stamp.” Can’t say I’m a fan.
On the planes… I don’t mind so much. I really enjoy seeing a warbird in authentic operational markings, without the embellishments that are common. But I understand that it helps the organization with publicity and funding. The CAF “wings” logo is attractive at least, although I would like it better if it were a bit less conspicuous.

If the CAF’s purpose is to keep the old warbirds flying, I’d say the less-than-historically-accurate addition of a tasteful logo is a fair trade. It would be worse if some CEOs at major corporations offered sponsorship and wanted their logo plastered all over. This is preferable to NASCAR-style advertising.
Where’s Hans when we need him!
Heh, Check 6 Bondo!
This topic was one of the reasons I stopped attending staff meetings… (Of course, I’m still pizzed-off about the name change and still wear the “Confederate Air Force” blood chit & Ghost Squadron patch on my flight leather) It’s my silent statement as to what I thought of the name-change and the effect Political Correctness has had on far too many things in this country…
I did make ONE exception, and that was that I moved the “Confederate” Ghost Squadron patch to my right shoulder as a “Combat” patch and put the “Commemorative” on my left… Some staff weenies had made mention of my “uniform vilolation” at a couple meetings but I showed 'em flat-out that the “uniform regs”, such as they are, don’t extend to flight gear…
My CAF business card:
But, overall, I don’t care about the tramp-stamp on the airctaft anymore than I cared about the birds that had 15 Colonel’s names (The aircraft sponsors) on it… It was ALL wrong… Hell, if I was really anal about it (and actually had some pull), none of the pilots would be flying photo-hops wearing HGU helmets or headsets & baseball caps and sneakers either…
Kinda took the fun out of it, did it? Here’s to Colonel Culpepper![#toast]
Yupper…
To Jethro…[#toast]
