Classic Airframes ICR.42 kit in 1/48 scale. Finally finished this kit after putting it back in the box due to frustration. I was having a hard time attaching the floats and put it aside for awhile. The upper wing was a bear to put on and line up and the floats gave me some trouble. The only modification to this kit for the float version was to shave off the tail wheel fairing.
This kit fought me tooth and nail from the very beginning. Almost every single piece of PE was lost by yours truly and his clumsy grip. We just weren’t meant to be happy together, so even though I would like to build a land version, I’ll stay away from this kit in the future. [:(]
The plane is painted with Floquil Old Silver and looks mighty handsome in that color. I scratch built a dolly and even though it’s a little excessive, it looks pretty good under the plane.
Those of you familiar with this kit or this plane will notice a huge goof-up on my part. I’ll let you all take a look and see who can find the big oops first. [:P]
