Last shot of " Daddys Girl " Think I am finally getting the hang of it. Now I have to practice on sending mutiple pics. Used Floquil Old Silver and MM Flourescent Red orange with Floquil for GlossGloss. Coat.Alclad 2 on cowls over a black base. Alphacolor Pastel Chalks for exhayst stains. Most time consuming was the paint, especially taping in the contour on the nose. Lots of aspirin and Michelob Ultra. Great job on the build.
Very Sweet Build [tup]

Looks great, Dennis. You really turned out a stunner.
Dennis,
That is one fine Boxcar! Your finish is impeccable! I hope mine comes out half as nice when I do her! And thanks again for the F-89 and other pics, they are a great deal of help!

Very, very nice! Congrats on a job well done![^]
Unfortunately, the pictures are apparently no longer available per Photobucket. I was looking forward to seeing your C-119.

Same here.
I have a C-119 in the cupboard and have searched over the years for images as I plan to detail the outside and inside of this one, including rescribing the raised panel lines.
Pity your images are missing.
I don’t know whether this is about the C-119 freighter or the gunship. Last week I bought the Italeri 1/72 C-119C. There is a picture book (47 p.) included in the set. That’s a lot of reference material.

Does anyone have interior pictures of C-119s? I have a 1/72 scale G from Testors and want to make a VNAF C-119 sitting on the ground with all doors open. I want to detail mostly the cargo area but need ideas. are the any detail kits out there? does any one have any ideas to build up the interior? I just painted the interior with interior green. I’ll be painting the details within the next few days.
Was Testors the only one to screw up the rear wall of the cockpit or did italeri fumble on that one too? Good thing I decided to dry fit EVERY single piece of my kit. I noticed the same thing on the AC-119K kit. Does anyone have any hints to fix any other screw ups?
All that aspirin and beer paid off, Dennis, for the Flying Boxcar looks great, especially the work on the painting!

Dennis-
Absolutely stunning! You should be very proud of that one. [tup]
Dennis, you did the old girl justice.
I am going to be picking one up in the near future but, mine is going to be a civilian version. I’m going to try and do it one of these two. I haven’t decided which one. The only difference is the company and aircraft number.

You get four stars for the C-119. It’s fantastic.
