Bunkers from DDAY

Hey, i know im very late on starting this but here it goes: a friend and i want to build two dioramas about DDAY, seeing as it is the 60th anniversary and all. I want to built one diorama that features some german bunkers and stuff from the atlantic wall. i was wondering if anyone knew if a company made german bunker kits or atlantic wall emplacements or something of the sort. If there arent any good kits out there then how would i go about making a bunker or two? thanks

There are a lot available in 1/72. Check out http://www.tracks-n-troops.com/1-72%20bunkers.htm
They also have some listed in 1/35 http://www.tracks-n-troops.com/pn_sud_modelisme1.htm
Here is a build up of a West Wall bunker http://www.internetmodeler.com/2003/november/armor/cd1141.htm Wouldn’t work for the Atlantic Wall but gives some idea on how to build and paint them.
I also have a bunch of pics on our website that I received from a guy in France. While they are not located in the Normandy area, they are the same types as some that are. You can check them out here http://www.ipmsslc.com/photo/index.php?cat=17

Here’s a couple of pic,s of one my son won at a raffle and just finished, it’s a Polish kit molded in dark grey styrene and I have seen them under 20.00 bucks (maybe squadron) It went together nice and easy.

OOPS! forgot the URL here ya go.

thanks a bunch guys, i like verlinden but they are kinda expensive and i really dont want to spend all the money i have saved up… which isnt really much to be proud of [V], well thanks for the links ill get back to you when im done [if its good looking [;)] ]

Why not just scratchbuild your own bunker? Styrene, spruce wood strips, and your choice of modeling clay or modeling plaster. There are tons of online reference materials but In my opinion you couldnt go wrong with the book “Fortress Third Reich: German Fortifications and Defense Systems in World War II”
by J. E. Kaufmann, H. W. Kaufmann
The Verlinden Kits are very nice but pricey. I have two of the the heavy MG bunkers and I reccomend them to anyone.
Besides scratchbuilding it would be soooo much more fun!
