Building tip for a newb

What is the best way to attach the suspension arms onto my tanks? I am having trouble specifically with the Dragon M1A1 AIM, it has some fine teeth at the attachment point but can I get the things to sit level? No! the teeth seem now to have worn away, how do you guys get the arms level prior to sticking?

I notice most german tracked armour have similar fittings so I thought ask now and save myself some hair pulling in the future.

thanks in advance.

“…before sticking”?—I assume you mean “before gluing”??

I don’t get 'em even before gluing–I use a slow-setting glue–Testors liquid cement is fine–and put the arms in their slots and dab the glue around all the arms, and then set the tank on a reliably flat surface ( a piece of tile in my case) and press down lightly, sometimes putting a light book on the hull to make the arms “sit”. I always make sure that the tank has no tendencey to “rock” on it’s arms; if it does, you’re gonna have problems.

If your arm pins have been eaten away by the glue, all I can say is to follow the above method, but you’ll have to “eyeball” the suspension/ground clearance, and adjust each arm individually. Look down along the line of arms and you’ll notice of one or more of them is not quite making contact with the flat surface, and you can press that one down with a tool–then let dry a good couple hours…
