This is an old build done some years back for a client. It’s a truck dock that will handle about 6 trucks. Docks for 4 full fledged truck and trailer and two single trucks without their trailers. Lots of fittings with bits and pieces of XPS to get things to fit perfectly or close. Used lots of XPS to make the structure light but more sturdy. So far so good. The total dimension will be 60 x 100cm. I got an Ikea flat table board to use as a base for this diorama. I also have detailing on the roof, but have to do some painting first. Just commissioned a friend to do some 3D objects for me, for the roof. The 3D drawings look fantastic. Also going to be doing a couple of removable buildings just so the customer can be able to take nice photos without a disturbing background disrupting the scene.
Making the light casing, which were 3d printed, and alphabet signs, and Vac systems for the roof. I scratch built the Vac using styrene.
Hello! Lookin’ very cool, especially with that natural background! How come it’s 1:50 - are trucks in this scale popular? Thanks for sharing and have a nice day!

Well, I seem to have a lot of 1:50 modellers as friends. And they have their friends…they see my work and asked if I could weather their models for them and/or build a diorama. 1:50 is a popular scale for those who do not want to build but just have a model on their shelf.
Dang! That’s cool as hell!
That is amazing work! The in-progress photos really help me(who knows nothing about scratch building) understand and appreciate all that goes into your work. Working in that small scale and your attention to all of the little details is just astounding. Beautiful work!
Glad you liked it.
It was a little challenging but you kinda learn as you go along.
I seriously don’t know where to start… First, your scratch building skills are out of this world! Second, I am still amazed how real your builds look… In my humble opinion you have achieved the goal of a modeler with your builds so realistic.
Well done Sir.
Really glad you like the results. Much appreciated.
Wow, another amazing diorama, @Tiking! So life-like!
My appreciation for your those kind words.
Glad you find it interesting.
