Build a working synchronized tandem rotor system

Greetings all,

I posted these in the Helicopter forum first, but brought them here for everyone to see.

This is a couple ideas I sketched on how to build a working, synchronized tandem rotor installation, using simple applications. They are rough, but I hope useful to some. [:)]

WOW, that looks GREAT, are you going to build one like that ?

Bud

Hi Bud,

Thanks! [:)]

Yes, I’m going to go with the “Flex-Shaft” method on my new 1/48 Chinook and see how it works out. It seems to be the most reliable… we’ll see. [:)]

Thanks again,

Frank

Cool, can’t wait to see some pics

Good Luck

Bud

That’s cool! Post pics as you go please!

That’s a great idea. Hope you can do it! The flex-shaft is probably the best solution. You don’t have to worry about gear alignment. Is it going to be motorised or you just want to turn them by hand?
