Hi Folks
I’m new to the FSM board; a retiree returning to modeling. Posting pics of my last build (2008). Perhaps an unusual subject, possibly of interest to fellow “Buick Nuts…”
Nick (Who’s corpuscles bear a Trishield… LOL!)
Welcome back Nick! Great looking build. That engine bay looks fully plumbed. So far I’ve just been tried wiring the distributor. Some kits come with heater hoses but man, you put everything in there! Nice job.
Welcome to the Forums! Welcome back to the hobby.
Very nice looking build. [Y] [Y]

Very much appreciate the positive comments. During my “modelling hiatus” I restored and raced 1:1 Buick Gran Sports, so “everything’s there…” But, as far as the distributor… I know we’re “supposed to” drill out the distributor cap and follow “1,8,4,3…” I freely admit, the top of the distributor cap is a blob of glue where each wire landed “close enough…” [8-)]
Looks great. Don’t sweat the distributor, mine go that way sometimes too. That’s why I’ ve been gravitating towards the prewired ones.
There’s a couple of us on here that did some racing. Pics?
Great job. Realy like the paint job. I to did some racing in the early80,s to early 90,s.Mostly used monte carlos and vatios buicks. It was only hobby stock nothing fantsy. But had a great time doing it. I will try to dig up some old pics and try to post them.
Right on! This one ran 11.7 with a magnuson SC @7lbs then rebuilt with procharger F1A at 14lbs and it dyno’d at 700RWHP, but never made it back to the track I gave it to my son in law in TX because it wasnt street legal in CA.
I still have the boss 302 in my pic but that one is for the twisties
Looking good! [Y]
