Bronze Green

I use MM enamels and want to mix up something approximating bronze green… how far off is flat black added to interior green?

Thanx

try MM USMC green…it is a good dark bronze green shade. It is in their MMII line.

Damn… don’t have any of that. How bout SAC bomber green?

Just curiouse , what are you painting ?

No, SAC Bomber Green is good for RAF cockpits, but only good for drybrushing highlights for brinze green. Humbrol makes a good Bronze Green if you have access to thoise paints. Or are you looking in what a colors you already have?

I’ll second MM USMC Green.

In a pinch you could probably also use MM Euro I Dark Green. It’s a better match for Dull Dark Green, but it’d probably be close enough to BG…

A Grumman built TBF 1C. If it was an Eastern build I could use Interior Green. I think I’m close with Interior Green, Flat Black and Dark Green FS 34079… close enough at least.

Thanks for the help guys

Sounds good .

Are you talking about true bronze patina, or a particular military’s paint called bronze green?

I believe he is referring to the paint used by the US Military on many aircraft interiors before and during WWII.
