My latest diorama just finished. Emhar tank heavily modified, and Tamiya figures and some accessories. everything else scratchbuilt.
shaunfletcher - a very nice dio, I like it a lot! One thing to reconsider is IMO the lining of the trench with wood - I’d suggest filling the gap between the planks and the rest of the groundwork - that would be consistent wit the rest of the trench, that looks like it’s been built some time ago.
Thanks for sharing and keep ‘em babies comin’! Have a nice day

Nice dio. I would guess in the real world that the hand dug and wooden trench supports would not have held up if that behemeth came that close to it.
I actually plan to. when free time allows, revisit with some handmade sandbags along the trench top and some more accessories, and a little more mud…
Looks pretty darn good to me! The tank looks great and the figures and groundwork came out great too.
I’d love to see more of your work.
Thanks, she’s even more impressive seeing the extra work you put in there!
Well done!
Well done, that’s made a silk purse out of a sows ear
Superb job! I hope to produce something as fine in the future with the new Mark IV male that has been put out recently!
Thanks kindly! The Tamiya and Takom kits were announced just as I was about to start building!
Im currently working on enhancing the dio with more details (more junk in the trench etc) and improved mud/water effects, along with a wooden base etc.
Great job for sure…however…one detail…the British invented the tank…the Germans were the surprised ones. Still a great effort.
Most amusing… but as you will see from the quote below from a british infantryman (this quote inspired the dio) the tanks were quite the surprise!
Bert Chaney was a nineteen-year-old signal officer
“We heard strange throbbing noises, and lumbering slowly towards us came three huge mechanical monsters such as we had never seen before.”
Super cool, love wwi stuff. Very well done! Mike
I stand corrected Shaun…I didn’t take into consideration the British themselves seeing a tank for the first time…
This has gone back on the bench for some enhancements and additions…
Lots more mud, trench accessories, sandbags etc. Next up final dirtyness and touchups, then a wooden frame.
Hello!
The modifications have paid off - looks a lot better now! Thanks for sharing and have a nice day
