British Paint Tinlets

Does everyone have troubles with the tinlets Humbrol and White Ensign paint come in, or is just me? Every time I attempt to pour paint out of a tinlet into my Paasche airbrush paint cup, I get it down the side of the tinlet and then when I get ready to put the lid back on, I have to mop up the paint in the lip. I’ve been using Q tips to do the latter which is messy and using up Q tips. Has anybody discovered an easy way to dispense paint from the aforementioned tinlets?

Use a pipet or syringe to remove the paint from the tin. Much easier to control.

Those tinlets are the reason the British are known for their resolve and “stiff upper lip”. Get a pipette like Ross says, and you’ll be fine. Another way is to snip straws to 2" or 3" lengths and place one end into the paint, and put your finger tip tightly over the open end. The vacuum created will hold the paint in place while you move from container to airbrush.
