I’d like to add custom logos and fonts to small parts made of carbon fiber.

I am looking for a recommended technique to ‘brand’ waterjet cut carbon fiber parts.

Now I had some plain white logo in mind but I am not sure how to go about this.

The entire surface is finished in glossy smooth epoxy and I fear that when I use a stencil and spray it with email color that it will wear off quickly. Since the parts will be frequently handled by hand.

The parts are flat and up until now I’ve used a laser to engrave logos and writing on the parts, however these decals are only visible when looked at from a certain angle (I’ve attached two pictures).

For those unfamiliar, carbon fiber sheets are made of carbon fibers and a resin or matrix, in my case epoxy.
When using laser engraving, the clear coat of epoxy is burned away revealing the plain carbon fiber weaves.My question now would be if it could be a possibility to laser engrave the logo/font and fill it with a type of paint that will stick to the carbon fibers but not to the epoxy in order for a removal of the excess paint via rubbing over it with a chamois.Has anybody experience in this and might be able to recommend a type of paint? Or has an entirely different idea on how to go about doing this?I’d like to apologize if I sound a little confusing, English is not my native language.Cheers,Benoit

Probably none of us has had any experience using carbon fiber as decals.

What is the advantage of using carbon fiber? Is this an operating model (say, a flying model) where weight is an issue?

It’s a part of an RC Car. Which will likely be subjected to abrasion in mud and the like.
