I have a couple pics of an FW190 F8 (I think it is anyway), and it has a venteral mounted bomb rack that holds four bombs instead of the normal one (I think it maybe an ETC250). Cannot find that rack anyplace. Anybody know of a kit that came with one? Or maybe aftermarket?

In 1/48 Hasegawa makes a Luftwaffe Weapons set including that rack.
I’ll check that out. I did find out tonight that there was also an attachment made for the ETC504 that made it capable of handeling four smaller bombs. You’d have thought that Tamiya would have included this in their F8 kit as they added everything else.

Sqeakie, the ETC 250 rack is to hold the SC250kg bomb. The 4 bomb rack you refer to is probably the Einhangerost ER4 rack that held four 50kg SC bombs. This rack was fitted to the F1 and F2 Jabos. As most F3s were F3/R1s the four 50kg bombs were held by the ETC50 racks below the wings which superceded the ventral ER4 rack. Hope this helps.

Since my first post I’ve now seen two completely different centerally mounted four bomb racks. One as I said attaches itself to the standard centerline rack, and the other of a dedicated centerally mounted bomb rack. I’ve since seen a similar rack mounted under a 109. The bombs are small in size. The Tamiya kit comes with the wing racks as well as the centeral ETC504 rack. I just thought it would be kinda different than the norm. Also the wing racks in the Tamiya kit don’t look right to me; perhaps they are I don’t know as I’ve not seen a picture of them in use. So the persuit of data goes on!
