Blue Angels Fly-Over Houston Texas May 6 2020

Today the Blue Angels toured the State of Texas, starting in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area then trucking down I-45 to tour the Houston area. I live in a town called Katy, a Houston suburb some often claim to be closer to San Antonio (it’s not, but it’s a fun joke) than to Houston.

They flew from South to North along the outermost loop around the Houston area, known as the Grand Parkway, which just so happens to be less than a mile from my house. I took my daughter, a video camera, and my Canon with the 70-300 lens mounted, scouted out a mostly unobstructed viewpoint, and waited. These are some of the best shots I managed to get.

I lost some of my focus for the smoke trails shot, which was heading away from my vantage point, as I was having to turn to follow while setting up that shot between a tree and some brick signage.

Cool shots, Aggie! Thanks for posting.

Was washing the jeep over by Martins airfield last Sat, when the blue angles, thunder birds and a couple of A-10 warthogs flew over.

Lucky you, great looking pictures. We had two F-15C do a flyover our area in honor of first responders. I waited outside with my camera for the time the radio said they were gonna be in the area but had to run to the bathroom…and that’s when I heard them! Too late by the time I got outside.[:(]

Hi;

Mine totally bombed. Someone walked right in front of me when I was shooting with my phone. They looked great flying over New Braunfels! I will let this be a lesson. Find an empty field. Folks at Buc-ees like to take photos , but they are very discourteous sometimes.
