haha I love this one so much. I was like what’s wrong with it? Then I noticed that abomination in the background haha still chuckling

Looks like I need to pay more attention to the box art!

They could have at least used a JSDF vehicle.

Here we have a kit from the Japanese Billiken War of the Gargantua series. It is apparently the Dancing With the Stars Edition.

So many things wrong with that box art… :man_facepalming:

Border Models seems to be building a reputation for this… like why is this Sherman burning? And what is up with the German helmet and gas mask on the front right?

Because it is a Sherman?

I know it is more myth than reality but still…

Although on the wrong side the mask and helmet are movie legend.

They’re giving “options” to cover up production flaws.

True…but i was more just going along with what cbaltrin was posting with his 109…

That is what weathering pigments are for!

It would appear that the starboard side of this rocket is extremely hazardous and requires full PPE but if you pass around the nose you may start to remove the PPE and nothing is required on the port side!

I’m sure that’s comforting to him and his family

Then there is this old Aurora Fokker, looking like the pilot is in great peril….

Yes it would indeed appear that Roden’s artist has a tenuous grasp on reality at best.

So judging by the nice straight line of the tire tracks this gun was dropped from the sky or the tree grew up REALLY fast!

Loved it when I saw it when I was 10 and still do.

On this MBT-70 box art, that is the drivers station where he is standing and signaling for a left turn. Nobody is driving or able to turn at that moment. For those who are not familiar with the MBT-70 design, all of the crew was located in the turret to allow for a lower design in the hull.
The tank commander was located on the opposite side of the turret.

EDIT: Stck beat me by 3 minutes! I will let it stand.

Aurora does have some truly special art.

Here we have tank commander Joe dancing to YMCA as the world behind him explodes into flames.
