I found this on the internet. it was designed for the last Star Trek movie but not used. This was my first resin model and I have to say I’m hooked. Resin has suprer detail. Only one problem…they aren’t exactly cheap. Price is a little prohibative so I will limit my purchases. Added additional photos by request.
So I’m guessing this was General Chang’s experimental Bird of Prey?

Yes, same ship as Chang’s. Designed by visual graphics designer. Search for Pierre Drolet Sci-Fi Museum. He has reworked and designed a bunch of ships…

Whoops, my mistake when you said last ST movie I thought you meant ‘The Undiscovered Country’! [:$] I was thinking there that maybe the experimental BoP that was able to fire while cloaked might have designed at first to look different from the standard BoP.
I don’t even remember much about the Klingon ships in ‘Into Darkness,’ very cool though.

Below is the guy who produced the kit. I’m not sure just how many he has sold. I just stumbled on the designer’s site and when from there. From what I can see from his site he does the movie stuff as well.

Sorry for not clarifing that now there are two groups of movies now. It was designed after the older Bird of Prey like the in Undiscovered country and also in Star Trek - Search for Spock. I have built the 1/350 scale AMT version of that ship.

Just to clarify, Mr. Drolet submitted this design to the artistic team for the last Star Trek movie Into Darkness. His design was not accepted by the producer. The design was found by fans who asked him to finish it, which obviously he did and it was subsequently kitted. It is a nice design which unfortunately has not found a home in the Star trek universe, yet.
This is really an interesting kit! You did a wonderful job on it and I like it with the landing gear!
Yeah it is a little pricey at $85 but that is fairly reasonable for resin, especially if the casting is crisp and the parts fit together reasonably well.
As for Star Trek universe, there is so much fan made stuff around that anything like this is virtually a go, full tilt, thumbs up!
Thank you for the compliment! The landing gear was supposed to in the up position so I had to break & add to modify. As I said earlier I am now hooked on resin.

Well done. I’ve always thought Klingon ships should be painted like tanks. Those colour schemes and weathering . Brilliant build.
