Biplane rigging line - AK? EZ Line?

For biplane rigging, how would AK elastic rigging thread compare to EZ Line? Any recommendation as to which might be better for a newbie? Thanks!

I’ve used both, and they’re very similar in performance and technique. My impression is AK is a finer gauge and works well with smaller scales - I tend to use that for 1/72 for instance. EZ-Line is my typical go-to for 1/32. I also use elastic “sewing in thread” from a sewing supply store - very similar in technique and performance, but a shiny whitish/silver color, so it simulates stainless wires better.

That’s my two cents…good luck and enjoy! All three options will give good results with patience.

I now use EZ-line for everything. Much easier to work with than thread. It stays taunt all the time.

I did this with EZ Line and I like how it turned out.

I need to go back and take pics of the finished model. I thought I had but I can’t find them.

I started with E-Z Line for my EP-3 but, didn’t like the look when I stretched it out. It kinda had flat spots to it when viewed at certain angles.
I went with the AK Hyper Thin for 72nd, turned out way better IMO.
