Nice review of the Binks Wren. One comment, the Wren was available and sold before the 70’s. I bought mine in the middle 60’s, Still have it and it still works fine. Mine came new in a plastic container - here’s a pic of mine together with an extra aluminum handle I made. Also that little O ring inside the nozzle on mine deteriorated over time and I replaced it with a teflon one I made. And, yes, it does put out a lot of paint,

Nicely done review of the Wren, accurately described and very informative. Mine is a “B” with the medium tip, bought new in the mid sixties, has seen lot’s of use, now semi retired as I use mostly dual action brushes. But still, when I do have a large area job like a base coat or prime coat, it does a really good job and is just a cinch to clean after use.
With it’s rather atypical needle design, I find it to be less prone to clogging and spitting, shooting at pressures around 20 psi. Also, either the Paasche or Badger metal siphon cups fit perfectly, much handier than the kit bottles.
I take the review as meant to be just that, a detailed description of it’s operational characteristics and abilities, not an endorsement toward purchase at $295.00. That price, while outwardly ridiculous is still being paid by some purchasers, so there is a market for them in some venues.
The price sticker is still on my container, $32.95 nearly 50 years ago. It was my first decent quality airbrush, now I use almost exclusively Badger, but still have a high regard for the Wren and consider it quite capable in certain applications.
