Hey group,

I seem to have lost two parts of my Cutty Sark Model, maybe you have extra you can spare.

I ready to rig the mizzen top gallent deadeyes and have lost the 2 (parts# 48R and 49L, of step/part 12 of the instruction manual). These are the “fake” deadeyes that mount on top of the mizzen crosstree. Would anybody have a set in their junk box? If push comes to trample I can use white metal but they won’t quite look the same.

Hi Bruce,

I have some wooden one too, but the size makes them tough to rig. I’ll fall back on to small white metal, and replace the other masts’ top gallents with the same so they will look uniform.

Hey Jake;
If you want to wait you could go on line to revell/monogram.com and they now have a order section for lost or broken parts so one could reorder a new part straight from the factory I now also think it’ll cost you some cash for shipping & handling but if one one has a part to spare then that may help you out

I have not tried to get replacement from them as the model is disco’d for now, but I’ll try.

HI Jake, wish I could help but I’m just getting into things. Any time I lost something I’d end up jerry rigging things, I didn’t know any better. I’m glad I found this forum because I know you,ll all be a big help to me.
