Wanted to share some of my work in progress; Hobby Craft Bf109B 1/48 with Eduards PE and Hasegawa Fw190A8 1/72 with True Details resin cockpit. Any and all comments and recommendations welcomed.

Looking good ! Always loved the FW-190, wish there were more being built. I’ve done a 1/24, with a 1/48 in the stash (Both Airfix)

Very nice so far, Roy! I like the mottling you did on the Fw…tricky in any scale but you pulled it off nicely in 1/72. The constuction looks nice & clean, and you did a good job attaching the PE, which can get messy when attaching smaller parts…not on yours, though. Great job! I’ll be watching these builds closely.

Thank you for the complements. I was not sure if the mottling would come out OK. I tried airbrushing it free hand but it looked awful. Instead I made the templates in the picture below. I wasn’t sure if I did too little or too much. I was thinking that at that scale and with decals it should look OK.

they both look good! The '190 is well built and you have done a good paintjob there. I like how you have painted the mottle.[tup]
The 109 is equally good and you have done an excellent job of attatching the PE parts, I always have trouble with that bit, you’ve made it look easy.[;)]

LOL…I thought I was the only one who cheated and used a pre-cut mask to do Luftwaffe mottling…I just imagined I was weak…turns out I’m not so silly after all…
Roy, your 190 and 109 look pretty good…hope you can post more pics of them when you can.
That FW kit is great,and yours looks great.Diggin the 109 too.
