Here are two pictures I took today of my new 1/48 scale Tamiya Kubelwagon I made to add to my photography base.
The two Bf 109s are the old (but still good) Revell kit, both made years ago.
The Tamiya Kubelwagon was a lot of fun to make even though I only have experience building airplanes, I am very pleased how this model turned out.
That K-4 is a converted Revell G-10 made years before Hasegawa started making late model 109s. Now there is much more information about the K-4 and my model is very inaccurate, thats why I bought a few of the Hasegawa K-4s to replace the model in my picture. Maybe late this year I will be able to build one of them if I can find the time.
That Kubelwagon was fun to build and will help add some realism when I start making new airplanes again. I have two sets of figures in 1/48 and 1/72 scales that I need to finish, then the real hard part begins when I start working on the hanger again.
These might be the last new pics for a while since building the airplane hanger might take a few weeks to do, but after thats done I will post some pics.
Thad, obiwan, Erock68, and monrad, Thanks for the comments!
That B/W photo is my favorite, I will do some more like it.
The color photo was changed a bit, I lowered the contrast slightly so the colors would not be as intense. It was a bright day when the photo was taken and all my photos are taken outside, the colors were too bright on the photo at first so I changed it.
I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements a few days ago, this should allow me to better edit my photos. It might take me a while before I make good use of this new photo editing software, but will post the results when I do start using it.
The photos were to represent Defense of the Reich airfields…sort of.
I just wanted to see how the Kubelwagon would look next to an airplane in the same scale. This next weekend I will work on the figures and try and get them done. I am still waiting on some paint I ordered so I can finish painting some of them.
Matrixone, your dio is great,I hope you don`t forget the Luftwaffe carts, and I want to see pics of the new hangar that you are working on.Keep going is greater day by day.
I plan to get the Luftwaffe starter carts as soon as I can, but I will be getting a root canal in a couple weeks and need to set some money aside to pay for that. No new model supplies for me for at least three weeks.
I am making slow but steady progress on the hanger and will post pictures of when I get it done.
Thank you for your interest in this project.
