Bf 109-E WIP

This is the old Hasegawa 1/32 109E kit, out-of the box so far, and will remain that way with the only possible exception being some brake lines maybe. It’s painted and glossed, ready for decals. I’m currently working on masking the canopy and will hopefully be spraying that later today. Thanks for looking!

Nice work! Camo looks excellent, what did you use for a gloss? I like the smoothness of it. [tup]

Thanks, the camo was more challenging than I thought it would be. The gloss is Future, unthinned. I sprayed probably 3 coats back-to-back while I moved around to different parts of the plane.

Nice work Grifter. Keep us posted.

Regards, Rick

Cool camo! what did you use for the side camo?

Thanks Grifter for that info. You definately have a winner there in your hands. [tup]

Very nice unusual paint! Like it alot. Cant wait to see it finnished. Thanks for sharing…Harv

Love the camo fella, this bird will look the biz when you get it done. Top job.

thanks for the comments everyone!

Raider, the side camo is RLM 02/71 like the top, but I used a different brand of 02 which came out just slightly different. Unexpected, but I like the result, since the side camo would have been done in the field. It’s a JG 54 bird, and the unusual pattern is what got my attention.

The camo does look cool. Look forward to the finished product.
