I have trouble getting the color white from model master to cover and flow correctly. I am thinning it with various amounts of windex. All the other colors behave well and I am looking for any advice/feedback on acrylic whites.

The only White I really like is from Floquiol, but that’s an enamel. For Acrylic, I find Vallejo to be quite good, but it will take a few thin coats to cover properly.

Your problem maybe the Windex. As it is ammonia based it could be breaking down the acrylic paint you are applying. Try using Isopropyl alcohol (90%) instead.
I like using Tamiya Flat White as my primer.
