The July 2003 has the article about weathering with salt. I’ve used it on both wheeled and tracked vehicles, and it works very well.[tup][:D]

I tried the salt method, and ended up with white salt stains. I put the salt on automotive primer, then painted over with Tamiya. Anybody else have that problem?
I have used the ‘salt’ method-only with limited success. I need to practice more with it, and not get it onto high detail areas. of a british limber i tried it on, only about 25% looked acceptable to me, the rest was terrible. now, i think it will become my test junk thing for airbrushing
I had issues when I used popcorn salt. For the t-72 I used Morton Sea Salt.

Regualr table salt is what I used with no problems.
I really like that, Dwight! Beautiful as usual. Your edges have a nice rust color to them. Did you mix up a few different shades for it?

yeah, i have s 5-year old just learning how to play online (yikes) and 2 teenage baby sitters that play too much on line and it does nothing but [censored] my computer up… hahaha. So I have all sorts of weird issues… But i’m getting a laptop and then the family can HAVE the other one, but keep away from the new one…

I did the laptop thing- wireless internet connection. The wife hates it because now I can be online anywhere anytime! Fantastic.
yeah, i have wireless too… best invention yet, next to the model[;)]
and TiVo. Everyone with young kids should have TiVo
