Best Phantom model

This is, I’m sure, a subjective question, but there seems to be so many options out there, I wanted to get some opinions. Whats’ the best F-4 model out there in 1/72 scale? I’m wanting to do US version, I’m not concerned about ordinance, since I already have a couple weapons sets. My main concerns are accuracy of the kit and the ability to do a good OOB build. Thanks for your input.

Hasegawa’s kits are good, but if you want an F-4C/D, or an F-4J, and don’t mind raised panel lines, the old Monogram kits are nice, too.

Hasegawa’s is arguably the best, but the Fujimi is a very close second. I like the old Monogram kit, but the raised panel lines are a major put down.

I have to agree with the above. Hasegawa makes some wonderful Phantom kits, but the 1/48 Monogram Phantoms also are very nice. This is the 1/48 Monogram F-4J, stock OOB other than the markings.

[#ditto] on the Hasegawa kits. They have great detail, recessed panel lines, & Hasegawa really likes Phantoms - they’ve produced a wide variety of different versions with different markings.

Hi ya Lt. Rasczak …

[#ditto] … [#ditto] … I agree with all that has been said above regarding kits available for the great F-4 Phantom … [^]
