Back into the hobby after many years away, and really enjoying it.
What is the best paint type for preserving very fine detail on a model? I have a 1/32 Tamiya P-51, and I’d lie to reserve as much of the surface detail that I can. I’m using a high quality airbrush.
Are enamels (e.g., Humbrol) better than acrylics in this respect? Humbrol vs. Model Master enamels? Vallejo?
I tried the acrylic stuff once, that is the water base stuff rite.I didnt like it,it dried in my air brush and had problems with getting it to stick.I personally like the model masters line Enamels. All the different millitary colors are out there, RLM, IJN, IJA federal Standard and so forth. I juct buy a gallon of thinner at the depo and some good clear coat, dull or sheen and i have good results. this is jusy my opinion. Good luck Paul
