What’s the best P-40E kit out there quality, build, and correct (measurements, accuracy, Etc.) ??? I’m thinking 1/32 but 1/48 or 1/72 will do but I’m more concerned with it being accurate out of the box.
Hasegawa P-40E in 1/48
I agree with Aggieman. Hasegawa’s P-40E in 1/48 is a great kit out of the box.
Is it me or does the tail seem to sag going from the back of the cockpit to the tail ?? Pitch seems too steep no ??
Hasegawa has the best in both 1/32 & 1/48.

Well I’m sold, I not only went to Hobby Link Japan to look at the 1/48 kit (the pics there of the completed kit don’t do it justice although very clean looking) but read other builds of the same kit and it looks beautiful !! I’ve got to finish my Tamiya 1/48 ME109E3 build and then I’ll eventually get the Hasegawa 1/48 P-40E. Years ago I picked up an AMT/ERTL 1/48 P-40F and I still have it is this a good kit ?? How much needs to be put into it to make it really nice ?? If the kit requires a lot I’ll shelve it for ahwile and buy and build the Hasegawa P-40E but if I can hold off on another expense I’d like to. What do you guys think ??
32nd scale at Sprue Brothers is on sale. Its only a couple of bucks more than the 48th scale.

In 1/72 scale the Academy kit is very, very nice. I don’t know how it compares with any others, but I can tell you that it goes together very well and the kit detail is very fine.
