What are the best Micro Point Tweezers for Decals ?
Especially when working with tiny decals .
I have a couple pair but they seem to damage the decals at times .

Doesn’t answer your question but I use just super cheap o nes off Amazon, I have seen guys who will dip the points in plasti-dip and the rubber tips help them. The plasti dip is also on Amazon. Personally it’s me that damages decals not my equipment.

My advice would be not to use metal tipped tweezers to place your decals. Use them to hold the backing paper, but use a toothpick to move the decal into position. Once onthe model, employ a wet paintbrush or a toothpick to position the decal and then firmly pat it dry with a cotton swab.

The difficulty with answering your question, for me, is every set of tweezers isn’t exactly the same, even if they are from the same company. Some will be sharper than others, or the tension will be different. I really like Tamiya tools, but I am also now a fan of the Dspiae antistatic tweezers. But, again, I don’t use tweezers for actually holding the decals, but for holding the backing paper while moving the decal to the model.

Fully agree with Tim. That’s pretty much my method too, and i use a fine pointed brush wetted with water to shift the decal around to its intended position on the model.

I use paint brushes, dampened with micro-set, to transfer and position small decals.
