I know this info is probably available on this site but have not been able to locate it. In any case, I would like to know what the best kit is. Price is not a consideration. Thanks![:D]

Let’s see…
Hasegawa’s Tomcats were really good in the late 80s… I built at least three of them. One of the latest in 1/72 scale is the VF-154 F-14. Don’t remember the kit number off the top of my head. Really, ANY of Hasegawa’s 1/72 kits are good. My first build after 15 years out of modelling was Hasegawa’s 1/72 AV-8B Harrier II Plus, released within the last year or so. REALLY good kit. And today, I just got the Bf109 “Galland” off eBay. It’s a kit from 1994 and there is no injector pin marks, no heavy flash, and really good exterior and interior detail (although this kit came with a True Details resin cockpit). That’s just my [2c], but I will say that Hasegawa really does a good job with their kits.
Hasegawa has issued two toolings of the F-14 in 1/72. The early kit had raised panel lines & minimal interior detail, but was accurate & fairly easy to build. Their later kit is much more detailed, with recessed panel lines & includes a PE fret. It’s much more expensive than the early release and a more difficult build, but the best F-14 available in 1/72 IMHO. The later tooling is readily available, but there are still some of the early toolings floating around.

For my money, can’t beat Hasegawa…just MHO
Thanks for your responses! Looks like Hasegawa is the way to go[:D][:D]
